Thank you so much for your work – the pictures are amazing and such a wonderful memory! I’d love to give something back for your time and help cover your equipment. Is there a way to contribute?
Hi Toby,
Thank you for your kind words and your offer to compensate me. However, blogmaldito—which is just me, even though many people assume there’s a whole team behind it—operates on a clear «non-profit» philosophy when it comes to running. The goal is to avoid any material or financial advantage that isn’t equally accessible to other recreational runners.
I pay for my own race entries, gear, and everything else related to running; I neither can nor want to accept payment for any of it. For the same reason, I decline all sponsorship offers from brands, as well as any advertising on the blog or my social media channels.
I believe this is the only way to remain truly honest in what I write for my readers. It’s rooted in the idea that—for once—it’s a good thing to revive the practice of contributing to a community without any underlying private or commercial agenda.
As I always say, running isn’t my business, and I love it that way.
Do you want to support me? It’s easy! Come say hello if you see me at a race—I’d be happy to chat and shake your hand. Feel free to ask me any questions, or—if you enjoy my content—share my posts (guides, photos, calendars) with others who might find them interesting. Everything is created with care and a lot of hard work, following a «do-it-yourself» ethos—a tradition I’ve proudly maintained for many years.
Best wishes!
Nice to read you in english, explaining so well your blog and ideas 😀
You are the best!!!!
